"Pair Stephen Schwartz's songs with Wayne Cilento's explosive choreography,
London Theatre
and 'Wicked' is poetry in motion."
Meet the choreographer, Wayne Cliento

Nominated for seven Tony Awards, Cilento won his first for his choreography on the historic
Broadway production of The Who's Tommy (Drama Desk Award, Fred Astaire Award,
Olivier nomination).Wayne Cilento's unique and celebrated choreography for
Wicked continues to thrill and inspire students, enhancing their learning
experiences and positive engagement in both culture and physical activity.
Wayne Cliento references Michael Bennett and Bob Fosse as the strongest
influences on his choreography for Wicked, with their approaches to filling
the whole stage and exploring precise detailed movement inspiring him most
for the development of the musical stage of Wicked. The choreography in the
show is built on classical dance and contemporary dance, but the creative
process also explored the other worldliness of Wicked and the creation of a
new vocabulary and style for the show, that's uncomfortable and twisted.
